I am a New Zealander, born in Wellington and raised in Blenheim and Picton at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. As a kid I was addicted to football and cricket and still dream of one day becoming a sports superstar. In my spare time I used to build radio-controlled model yachts, play with guns and ride (badly) my trail bike in the hills between Picton and Waikawa. In my late teens I heard the gospel message for the first time and after a series of events culminating in reading the account of Jesus in John’s gospel I was converted from nihilistic atheism to Christianity. Since that time I have been a follower of Jesus of Nazareth with a keen interest in Christian Apologetics. I have been influenced in my thinking by great evangelical thinkers such as Dr. William Lane Craig, Greg Koukl, Dr. William Dembski, Dr. Francis Scaheffer (+ Andrew Fellows) and Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum. Currently I attend an evangelical church every Sunday with my family.
By training I am scientist / engineer, having graduated with a PhD in Physics (Low Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) in 2012. Currently I am doing a postdoc at Massey University in Palmerston North and working on enlarging the mortgage.
I am married to one female wife and have two beautiful daughters.
My Résumé and PhD thesis can be found at http://www.robward.nz.
